 Welcome to the official website of the High Commission of the Republic of Kenya to Malaysia with accreditation to Brunei Darussalam. It is my pleasure to extend warm greetings to all our esteemed visitors, customers and stakeholders.

Kenya and Malaysia share a rich history of diplomatic relations, built on mutual respect, understanding, and collaboration for the benefit of our peoples. Our countries have worked closely together in various fields of cooperation including trade, investment, education, capacity building, health, tourism and culture, with the aim of enhancing the well-being of our people and promoting sustainable development.

Diplomatic relations between Kenya and Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam were established in 1965 and 2008 respectively, with Kenya opening its resident Mission in Malaysia in 1996. The High Commission is tasked with the impeccable responsibility of implementing Kenya’s Foreign Policy objectives and strengthening Kenya-Malaysia and Kenya-Brunei bilateral relations in economic, social, education, multilateral cooperation among other areas.

As a Mission we are committed to have continuous engagement with our esteemed interlocutors as we carry out this solemn responsibility and honour.  It is my sincere hope that you will find the website and its links useful for getting information about Kenya, trade and investment opportunities, travel and tourism as well as consular services offered by the High Commission.

Kenya is geo-strategically located at the confluence of the Great Lakes Region, Horn of Africa, and the Indian Ocean contiguity, making it a gateway to Africa’s major trading blocs such as the East African Community (EAC) the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), and indeed the larger African market comprising of a population of over 1.4 billion people in the context of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Kenya offers one of the best investment climates in the wider East and Central African region with limitless Trade and Investment opportunities. In addition, Nairobi is a regional hub of economic and multilateral diplomacy being the host to the ONLY United Nations Office in the global South.
