On 20th June 2026, the High Commissioner Ekitela Moru, led the mission staff in hosting the 63rd Madaraka Day celebrations, bringing together the Kenyan Diaspora, and companies/partners in Malaysia to commemorate Kenya's journey of self-determination, unity, and progress. In his remarks, the HC commended the Kenyan community for their unity, professionalism and patriotism and reaffirmed the mission's commitment to providing efficient and responsive services as part of its efforts to advancing Kenya's development aspirations through education, skills development, and stronger partnerships with Kenyans in Malaysia & Brunei.
