Certificate of Good Conduct

Requirements for Certificate of Good Conduct for those living abroad:

Kenyan citizens:

  1. Completed biographic form (click to download)
  2. A complete set of finger prints and palm prints.
  3. If the applicant is over 18 years of age, a clear photocopy of the Kenyan second generation identity card. (If the applicant was never issued with the ID card, he/she must prove he/she left Kenya before reaching the age of 18 years and is yet to return, and must provide the High Commission with a certified copy of the birth certificate and of the Kenyan passport).
  4. If the applicant is below 18 years, a certified copy of the birth certificate and/or Kenyan passport;.
  5. An application letter.
  6. For those sending the application directly to Nairobi enclose a banker’s cheque of Kshs 1,000.00 payable to the Director of Criminal Investigation Department, P.O. Box 30036, Nairobi.

Non-Kenyan citizens:

  1. Completed biographic form (click to download)
  2. A complete set of fingerprints and palm prints (with police endorsement seal or stamp);
  3. A certified photocopy of the applicant’s passport;
  4. Documentary proof that the applicant ever resided in Kenya for three months or more;
  5. If the applicant is below 18 years, a certified copy of the birth certificate;
  6. An application letter;
  7. For those sending application directly to Nairobi, enclose a banker’s cheque of Kshs 1,000.00 payable to the Director of Criminal Investigation Department, P.O. Box 30036, Nairobi;
  8. Those applicants who happen to be in Kenya should endeavor to apply in person at CID Headquarters in Nairobi.

Timeline 3 Months (Referred to CID Headquarters, Kenya)

No objection Certificate(NOC)

The following are requirements for issuance No objection Certificate(NOC):

  1. Completed application form.
  2. Passport copy.
  3. Admission letter.
  4. Certified copies of Kenya academic transcripts.

Timeline 1 Day

Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage

The following are requirements for application of Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage:

  1. 2 application forms duly filled ( Form No.7).
  2. Letter of request.
  3. Authenticated copy of the applicants and spouse’s passports.
  4. 2 photocopies of birth certificate.
  5. Declaration of Commitment to Marriage (from applicant and partner).
  6. Photocopy of National I.D.
  7. For divorced or widowed Kenyans: Two (2) photocopies of supporting documents ( Certified Divorce decree or the late spouses death certificate).

Fees RM 500

Timeline 3 Months (Referred to Registrar of Marriages, Kenya)

Authentication of Documents

The following are requirements for Authentication of Documents:

  1. Documents authenticated by relevant foreign authorities for non-Kenyans
  2. Documents authenticated by relevant Kenyan authorities for Kenyan citizens

Fees RM 50

Pet Import Permit

Requirements for importing Pets Canine into Kenya

  1. A request letter providing the importers name and address.
  2. The pets name.
  3. Current Health Certificate from the Veterinary Doctor.
  4. Valid Rabies vaccination certificate.
  5. Completed Canine Import Permit.

Fees RM 150

Transportation of a Deceased Body

Requirements for Transportation of a Deceased Body:

  1. Proof that the deceased person was a Kenyan e.g. Original Passport, Birth Certificate.
  2. Locally issued burial and/or transit permit.
  3. Certified copy of the Death Certificate.
  4. A letter from the local health authority certifying that the deceased did not die of contagious disease.
  5. A metal hermetically sealable casket is recommended.
  6. A letter from the Director of funeral home stating how the body was embalmed.
  7. Telephone number if available of Next of Kin or friends in Kenya.

  1. Proof that the deceased person was a Kenyan e.g. Original Passport, Birth Certificate.
